HKBAN memberships open to all angel/ VC investors. All members shall be entitled to participate in the events/ activities sponsored by HKBAN to which such members are invited. Actually, HKBAN memberships are by invitation or recommendation by existing members only.

There are 2 types of membership:

- Individual Membership

Any individual shall be eligible to apply for admission as Individual Member, if the applicant has directly or indirectly through any corporation(s), trust fund(s) or any other vehicle(s) of which he controls,

a) made angel investment(s) exceeding HK$100,000 within the 36-month period prior to his application, or

b) has a net worth of over HK$8,000,000 or annual income of HK$1,600,000 or a house annual income of HK$2,400,000 within the two years prior to the application for admission.

Membership fee: HK$1,200 per year

• Membership year from 1 JUL to 30 JUN
• Members joining before 1 JAN (i.e. before mid-year) will pay full year membership fee. Members joining from 1 JAN shall be reduced to a pro-rata amount calculated on a monthly basis (that is HK$100 per remaining month for Individual Members) plus an advanced amount for one year (e.g. HK$1,600 for Individual Members if a member would join on 1 MAR)

- Corporate Membership

Any company or corporation shall be eligible to apply for admission as Corporate Member if the applicant or its majority or major shareholder has directly or indirectly through any other corporation(s), trust fund(s),  or any other vehicle(s) of which the applicant or the majority shareholder controls,

a) made angel investment(s) exceeding HK$100,000 within the 36-month period prior to his application, or

b) has a net worth of over HK$10,000,000.

A maximum of three representatives on an annual basis can be nominated by each Corporate Member.

Membership fee: HK$2,400 per year

• Membership year from 1 JUL to 30 JUN
• Members joining before 1 JAN (i.e. before mid-year) will pay full year membership fee. Members joining from 1 JAN shall be reduced to a pro-rata amount calculated on a monthly basis (that is HK$200 per remaining month for Corporate Members) plus an advanced amount for one year (e.g. HK$3,200 for Corporate Members if a member would join on 1 MAR)
